I can write strong research questions.

"Whose Line" Research Questions

The first thing we did today was watch the following clip from Whose Line is it Anyway?


After watching the clip we discussed which questions were easy to ask another question about.

• Questions that start with how, why, and what
• (Questions with a complex answer)

Then we talked about questions that were difficult to ask another question about.

• yes/ no questions
• Short answer questions
• (Questions with a simple answer)

We called the questions that were easy to ask more questions about "open ended questions."
The questions that were hard to ask more questions about "closed questions."

Watch the first 2 minutes of the video and see if you can identify a few of the open ended questions.

Research

We spent the rest of class researching and making sure that we asked at least a few open ended questions.
