I can analyze the development of theme in a text.

Below you will find examples of flyers and the instructions for your flyer. Look through the examples and read the instructions. Then create a Smore account using your student email and regular password.

FTM Flyer Checklist

Title/Subtitle:

  • Title of flyer is your theme for “Freak the Mighty”
  • Subtitle of flyer is your name and class period

Section One:
  •  Title is “Analysis of the Development of Theme”
  •  Includes 8-12 sentences
  • Explains how your theme is used throughout the book
  •  Explanation includes TWO examples from the book
  •  Picture of the book is on the right

Section Two:

  • Title is “Reflection and Application of Theme”
  •  Includes 8-12 sentences
  • Explains how the author developed your theme throughout the book and why
  •  Explains how your theme relates to you and your life

Section Three (Picture Section):

 Picture #1 (Symbol Picture)
  • Picture is included
  • Includes 3-4 sentences
  • Explains how symbol relates to your theme

Picture #2 (Character Name)
  • Picture is included
  •  Includes 3-4 sentences
  • Describes one of the main characters

Picture #3 (Description of Event)
  • Picture is included
  •  Includes 3-4 sentences
  • Explains why this event is important to the book

Section Four:

  • Title is “Summary”
  • Includes 8-12 sentences
  • Summary tell what the book is about
  • Summary has important details of the book
  • Picture of the book/related image on the right side

Grammar:

  • Spelling mistakes are fixed.
  •  Complete sentences- complete thoughts
  • Absolutely no run-ons!
  • Names are capitalized
